Gridlock Garden
★★★★☆ 4.1
Gridlock Garden is the comfort-food puzzle game I keep coming back to. Each level is a small grid where you slide tiles to route water, sunlight, and seeds to the right spots. It starts trivial and ramps up with real care, introducing one new mechanic at a time so you're never overwhelmed.
What sets it apart is the theme wrapping. Solving puzzles grows an actual garden on a separate screen, and watching it fill in over days gave me a reason to keep chipping away at the harder boards. There are no timers and no failure states, just you and the puzzle.
The difficulty curve wobbles a bit in the middle third, with a couple of spikes that feel out of place. Otherwise it's a lovely, low-pressure way to spend ten quiet minutes.
What we liked
- Gentle, well-paced difficulty curve
- No timers or failure states
- A growing garden that rewards return visits
